About Us

My family's roots are in Honduras, and though I was born in San Jose, California, I grew up in Honduras, experiencing ten of my most significant developmental years there. It was in Honduras that my affection for coffee blossomed. In Honduras, coffee transcends being merely a drink; it's an integral part of life. It's cultivated organically, employing age-old techniques at an ideal elevation, which fosters a rich and well-rounded flavor profile. Local farmers and indigenous communities meticulously tend to the land, drawing upon wisdom passed down through generations. This ancestral knowledge is what imbues Honduran coffee with its profound depth, captivating aroma, and superior taste. I genuinely believe it ranks among the finest coffees globally. Despite its inherent quality, Honduran coffee still possessed considerable untapped potential. Many individuals have yet to experience its true essence when it's cultivated with care, expertly roasted, and thoughtfully shared. My aspiration is to alter this perception and highlight the extraordinary coffee that Honduras has to offer. Subsequently, I returned to the United States, completed my degree, and established a career spanning various sectors, including technology and construction management, with a foundation in marketing. Throughout every phase of my life, coffee has invariably been a constant companion. Whether it was during late-night study sessions, early mornings pursuing aspirations, or extended periods of demanding work and focused effort, coffee was my steadfast companion. This enterprise symbolizes that voyage from Honduras to California, from time-honored traditions to ambitious pursuits, and from the individuals who cultivate the beans to those who are constructing their dreams, one cup at a time. Miel del Sol signifies more than just coffee; it embodies heritage, diligent effort, and profound passion in every single cup.
